Early this morning we had a call from Mendip Conservatories to say one of the fitters had phoned in poorly and wouldn't be working today but hopes to be back on Thursday.
I telephoned the builder to ask him if he could extend the width of the path immediately outside the doors of the conservatory. By 2pm Charlie, the boss, was here with Ollie and they dug out the extension to the path and brought the slabs in readiness to complete on Friday when they plan to finish the floor as well.
Sadly the apple tree has had to go. It gave us many good apples over the 8 or 9 years we've had the tree.

That's it for today. If the fitters arrive as planned tomorrow we will have the doors cut out and fitted plus some of the internal fittings to be finished.
