Once again, on a bitingly cold and frosty morning and on the dot of 8am, the white van arrived outside our front door.
This time outstepped Paul and a sidekick named Ian. After an update on Paul's health and the first cup of coffee for him and Ian, the two of them set to work. Temperature outside was 0.9° C
We put a fan heater in the conservatory to take the bitter chill from the air in there.
Jobs today include finishing the soffits and facia, two ends of the guttering and the window sill inside.
The two of them finished at 3.30pm and we had an inspection of the work done with them before they left.
We had expected the builder today but with apocryphal tradition, he failed to appear. He has agreed to double the width of the path outside the conservatory doors. You will notice where it's been dug out ready, plus the slabs are here. In fact, this is not a bad thing his not turning up as we need to talk to him following the plumber's visit Monday morning, assuming of course HE turns up.
