Today saw the end of the workmen for 2020. Work commences in January 2021 when we put the finishing touches to the conservatory, and the Blog returns. Merry Christmas to you all.
So what happened today?
Dan and Ollie were here on the dot of 8am, accompanied by a continuous downpour of warm early winter rain.
They worked steadily with rarely a stop, and the rain followed suit. Their only interruption was the regular supply of coffee and biscuits. The rain stopped at 1.30pm, just before they completed their work at 2pm.
It does look good, we are very pleased with it.
A reminder of how it was.
Whilst they toiled away in the rain, Pete the plumber fixed the radiator to the wall in our bedroom. He then flushed the system and changed the magnetic filter. That's all three radiators connected now and all working fine. It's the end of Pete's work here although he has offered to return to take the rads off when we decorate.
That's it now until Monday, 4th January 2021 when the flooring company arrive to put a sealing surface on the floor prior to laying the cushion floor the following day.
For us now we can begin to put some of the office and bedroom furniture back where it belongs and reclaim our space in the lounge, just in time for the holiday. Happy New Year to you all.
